Here are some tidbits on extra activities for those coming to the Tri-Star event.

    1) There will be a 50/50 Raffle. Half the proceeds will go directly to the "Ride for Kids" charity and some lucky winner will win the other half of the money. So bring some cash, because a bigger pot means more money for the charity and the lucky winner too!

    2) Take note and/or memorize your MSTA membership number. There might be an advantage to knowing exactly what your member number is!

    3) If the weather cooperates, we will be making delicious S'mores after the cookout. Don't worry if you aren't sure how it works, because directions will be available.

I'm still amazed at the number of people who work at stores etc.... that are unable to make change, I'm sure a S'more would blow their mind.

Brick, study this in your spare time between now and next week.

A couple of nights ago we ate out with friends (8 of us - two families with adult children). Rather than try to break down the bill by item, we told the cashier to just charge me half and the other family half. It was beyond this person how to do that. I had already done the math in my head but in order to proceed I had to pull out my phone and show the cashier how to divide by 2 on a calculator to get the answer. Sheesh!

    Friday to TriSTAR

Ok... who's riding to TriSTAR on Friday as I am and am thinking who I could link up with who might have a new good way to go?...

I've made this ride MANY time and a new option would be cool.

S'mores? I know how to eat/make S'mores, it's easy! You start with a graham cracker, a marshmallow, and a Hershey bar. Unwrap the Hershey bar, eat it, then give the graham cracker and the marshmallow to the person on your left. See, I don' need no steenkin instruciones'.

Gary, I haven't used that set of directions before but it might be worth trying.
