Holiday Inn - Rooms are scarce

I just took one of Motocbikers (Chuck) rooms so i'm good to go.

I'd really like to stay at the event hotel and will be going for sure.

turns out the rooms I have are NS king....2 of them are set up with rollaways.

HOWEVER, I will call on monday as the person I spoke with yesterday says...that some of the king rooms have a pull out couch. That might not make a difference...but it is the best I can offer.

By the end of the week I will release the other rooms

Let me know if this works.

Called the Holiday Inn and they are indeed sold out, However, they referred me to the brand new Microtel just on the other side of the I-77 clover leaf. Pics looked nice and great reviews on tripadvisor, etc. Eats are within short walking distance and the price was right at $67.33 per for a single queen for the three nights.

Any room would work, as long as we have place for 2 people to sleep.

Have you cancelled the extra rooms yet? According to another post here (and my check on Holiday Inn web site) the hotel is still full that day. If you need the rooms fine, if not please cancel them so that others can use them.

You will almost certainly need to ride from the Microtel to the Holiday Inn (to attend the evening festivities). That main road (OH7) is a 4 lane highway, and I don't believe it has sidewalks. I currently have a room across the street from Holiday Inn at Comfort Inn. That is a shorter and safer walk, but will still require crossing the 4 lane highway (but there is a traffic light nearby). I got a very similar rate ($67.99+tax) there using the special rate code for Choice Hotels provided to MSTA.

You need to check with the hotel. The Holiday Inn web sit will say the hotel is full since we have all of the rooms blocked. I know of 2 rooms that were released this week.

Thanks Jon, just called and they have no rooms. Didn't see anybody actually post here that they released a room.

I'll keep my Comfort Inn reservation and check back with them again before the event and/or when I arrive.

Send me an email to cplatt61@gmail.com and I will simply switch them to your name(s) that way you WILL get the room.

If i just release them....and the hotel has a waiting list....you might not.

If nobody emails by tomorrow....I will just release them back to the hotel.
