It was a 'me too' on that member level thing.. Jay fixed...

However on loading the maps, recalcing 'em then sending 'em to my 2730 I find the route is displayed as a series of gold flags which obscure the usual magenta line...

    Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

Woovis, have you considering going back to using a paper map?

When you load a route, each via or waypoint used in the route shows up as a gold flag. That's just the way it is with most garmin gps units.

Yep, the fly-by maps have lots of them. That's so they will calculate correctly on different gps models with different mapsets. Delete as many gold flags as you wish. You'll get a different route, but the screen will be less cluttered. The other alternative is to do what I and most people do- zoom in on the route. I like the .8 miles per division magnification setting on my 2730. It allows me to see all the roads. In urban areas I may zoom as close as 300 feet.

Try it! It's really difficult to try to follow a route when you're looking at 20 or 30 miles of it on the screen at one time. ;-)

BTW, our group of five just got checked in at the fly-by hotel after a 250+ mile ride from dayton. Beautiful day today. We'll already have had three days of riding when we register late fri afternoon!
