At home I have a link to a $2 discount through the Ride For Kids...will send the info late tonight or tomorrow. It's not the biggest discount but by using it the IMS will also donate $2 to the RFK.
Anyone have a discount code or coupons this year? Anyone else going? Nancy and I will be there Saturday afternoon.

Advanstar Communications, producer of the International Motorcycle Shows, is giving Ride for Kids supporters $2 off the price of a one-day adult ticket purchased on motorcycleshows.com. Just enter the code “RFK” when making your purchase.
Better yet, for every ticket purchased with this code, Advanstar will donate $2 to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
While you’re at the shows, you can also get a chance to win a spectacular project bike in the annual Ride for Kids/Cycle World drawing to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
Custom builder Gregg DesJardins is hard at work on a new Honda CBR1000RR that will be on display at International Motorcycle Shows nationwide. It makes its debut in San Mateo on Nov. 16.

Drawing tickets will also be available online starting Nov. 2.

Another discount is from Progressive. The online discount code for the Atlanta show is PRG1GAW
I've heard $3 and $5. Don't know from first hand knowledge, just from the TWO list I subscribe to.
I have kid stuff both Saturday and Sunday but may try to go by on Friday evening.

Well, we attended the IMS in Atlanta on Saturday afternoon. In a nutshell it was pretty disappointing for both attendees and exhibiters. The manufacturers' booths were nice as always but, for us, the biggest dissapointment was the lack of vendors for gear and aftermarket goodies. Attendance was bad enough that the food and drink (including alcoholic beverages) were packing up to leave when we left around 4:00pm even though the floor was to be open until 8:00.
We enjoyed the outing but the show itself was not nearly what it's been in the past. The Atlanta show was the first one of the 2012/2013 tour so maybe it will get better as PMS sets in. I know that Suzuki is announcing several new models this month so hopefully those will be shown in later venues. Just don't set your expectations too high.

I certainly hope the shows improve with time, because it's great to shop and see the newest accessories, options, and gear. I don't mean to sound so negative, but so many companies have either closed shop due to the economy or reduced inventory and presence at venues to cut down on major expenses.

Well its a fact that Suzuki is now indeed going to focus more on motorcycle sales here in the U.S, or they are if they survive the bankruptcy.

I hope some of their new models are better looking than this. Were they trying to copy the Ducati Multistrada or what? If so they failed miserably.

I take a classic European view .... a motorcycle is primary transport.
