I agree with your points. Cresson is actually two tracks a 1.3 mile twisty section and a 1.7 higher speed section with sweeping corners that can be combined into a 3.1 mile track once you include the transistions. I have only been there once on the 3.1 miler and you are correct the two halves combined the first time is so different and so many turns it is harder to learn the best way around.

Checking the site it looks like there are still spots available as they do limit the number of riders on the smaller tracks. I think it is 35 for the 1.7 and 25 for the 1.3 in each group so you can go round and round with little interfence and what there is gives a good "learn to pass" opportunity.

Also looks like the weather is going to be awesome this weekend with highs of 80 on sat and 75 on sun.
