Ouch! That is going to leave a mark. Hope he was okay.
I found this on another forum: http://xtremesportsphotography.photo...000&po=0&pc=28
Click through all the slides. Remember the bike goes where you look.

Paying more attention to the photographer than the ride. Oh well.
In slide 10 the rider is still on his side of the road and probably dragging a peg, though it appears he has ample room to complete the turn in his own lane.
In slide 11 he is into the lane of oncoming traffic.
I am betting that he dragged a peg, scared himself (because he never leans over that far on a normal ride) and immediately straightened up the bike and put himself on a direct trajectory into the vette.
Slide 13 - 16 it appears the vette driver is hard on the brakes as the nose of the car is diving down.
Watcha wanna bet that (sadly) the vette could not excape to its right to evade the frightened motorcyclist.
And I agree, that vette driver will not hold motorcyclists (in general) in high regard going forward.

I've often thought that the numerous commercial photographers on popular "destination" roads like Deal's Gap are somewhat of a hazard. I can't tell you how many times I've observed a rider in front of me "push it" just a bit when they realized they are being photographed. In the series of shots referenced here, the rider, although not pushing the limit, was obviously posing for the camera and not concentrating on the upcoming curve. On a heavily traveled and very curvy road like US129, that can and did, in this case, spell disaster.
But hey, how can I criticize, my avatar is exactly one of those pictures from Deal's Gap. I was however, concentrating on the road rather than the camera.
