I just put a set of PR3s on my Ninja 650 before heading out to Buddies of Bruce. With almost 300 miles of wet roads between here and there, I was quite happy with their performance in the rain.
I couldn't believe the difference in the twisties between these tires and the Bridgestones they replaced. The bike feels a lot more "planted" with these than it did with the Bridgestones. I would guess that it actually IS better planted. The sidewall of the PR3s extends beyond the rim (by maybe an inch) whereas the Bridgestones were close to even with the rim.
I won't be able to report on the longevity until this time next year (or maybe longer). I went through 4 rears and 3 fronts in 25,000 miles with the Bridgestones (they were all replaced at the first visible wear bar (they always appeared right before a 1000+ mile trip) and the 3rd front was less than half way through it's life when I put the PR3s on)
