    You were lucky it was a dry day. For this hill you probably need lower than stock gearing. Looks like you had a decent knobby tire, which is critical for this stuff. This is one of those spots where momentum is your friend.

    Brings back memories. Love the single track but can do without the really hard stuff. Fun video!

    Thanks Norm! This hill took me three attempts to climb with nearly the same results twice!

    The first two shots were attempted in first gear which caused a bit too much wheel spin. The successful third attempt was made in second gear with more traction hook-up.

    Norm, he has lower than stock gearing on that WR. He has something like a 55 tooth sprocket on the rear, he should be able to climb a vertical wall with that dang thing.

    What? You basically said the opposite on adv-owners.com. That it's more rider than bike when succeeding at something like this. Now you are saying I should be able to climb sky-scrappers with the 54 tooth rear sprocket I have... I think you are forgetting that I suck at this. lol

    No, over there I said you won't be a better rider just because you buy an orange bike. Never said a word about your gearing, just stating here that you have really low low gearing.
