2012 TOTM - Last call

Fellow riders:

This is the last call for this weekend and the Michigan TOTM ride for 2012. As the weather forecast for the Bellaire area continues to improve this week there might still be a few of you out there considering hopping on your bike and heading north to join us. I spoke with Debbie (our host / hotel owner) at the Bellaire Inn this morning and she informed me that she still has a couple rooms available. As of this morning there are 16 rooms booked by MSTA riders and it't looking like another year of "bike only" parking at the Beallaire Inn where we will be celebrating "bike night" on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights! IF you want to join us and take advantage of some great riding weather and almost peak colors (early this year due to the dry summer) then call Debbie @ 231-533-7777 to reserve your room asap.

Also, Mike Osmer called to let me know he has an openning in his room and is looking for a last minute roommate if anyone is interested. You can contact Mike @ 248-408-9675 Cell to make arrangements.

Ann and I will see you all on Friday night for dinner, and are planning a ride up to the Leelanau peninsula on Saturday, with an early start if you want to join us. Make sure you all see Peter to sign off on the required rider waiver before heading out, either at the breakfast meeting location or nightly riders meeting.

John - I'll be heading up Friday after work, hope to arrive at hotel by 9. I'll be rooming with Keith Danielson. I'll seek out someone (you or Pete) to sign the required waiver. How early you looking to leave Saturday on your ride? Let me know, as I've never been up that way and would love to ride some good roads with some who know them.

Look us up when you get in to the Bellaire Inn. If we aren't back yet from dtown Bellaire (likely Shorts) we will be in the parking lot checking out the bikes. Ask Debbie what room we are in and leave a message, we will figure out a start time depending on the weather and plan to be at Pete's Diner (out front of the Bellaire Inn (a short walk from your room) the popular breakfast meeting spot for the group at breakfast. Would like to hot the road no later than 8. See you tomarrow night, ride safe.

Peter Stephan leads a group up on Saturday for the annual parade of trucks. That's all I know, I don't do bridges unless absolutely necessary!

Hmm, parade of trucks doesn't sound good. Maybe I'll skip that and join you. Hopefully there will be a little time to talk tonight when I get in. Safe trip, see you there.

Yay!! We're all here. Almost 20 bikes in the lot when I arrived about 8 pm. Less than 5 other vehicles here. Gonna be some fine riding in the morning. Check in later.
