Rock Rhodes Memorial

It is coming up on the one year mark of our loss of Rock Rhodes. To honor his memory, at this year's SE-STAR event, a tee shirt is being offered with a picture of Rock riding. In conversation with Linda Rhodes I offered the proceeds of the shirt sales could be donated to a charity of their choice and we decided that our favorite cause, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation would be that recipient. Response had been terrific and I am happy to say, more shirts are being requested than I anticipated. I am offering a second run so more of Rock's MSTA family can have the opportunity to get a shirt. Prices will be $15 for short sleeve, $20 for long sleeve. Add $3 if you want XXL. Prices will included shipping. I will take orders until Mid October. All proceeds, after costs, will be donated in Rock's memory to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Email me at vfrdude64 at yahoo dot com with requests and I'll process them.

I'm happy to report that T-shirt sales have been really good. Sold all but a few at the event. As of right now, roughly $200 has been made on the sales to be donated to the PBTF. Thanks for all the support at the event buying these shirts. Coupled with the amounts raised at the 50/50 proceeds (the winner graciously donated the winnings back to the RFK) our total for the event is around $450. Thank you to all who have participated!

I wore the T-Shirt while riding home from Dillard. It's a great shirt and tribute to Rock. I'll never forget my first MSTA event I followed Rock (on same FJR) out to Mena, AR in 2004 for what I think was T-16. While riding the curves leading up the mountain Rock was constantly scrapping his foot pegs on the pavement. I knew I had found the right motorcycle group and Rock was a great rider.
