Well looks like the location has moved, but it should be a good time. Camp Dearborn is a nice location.
Just an FYI...
"As mentioned when I sent out the email about the Battle being canceled for 2012. We were working on plans for a "Gathering of the Faithful" event Sunday September 9th. No awards, registration or formal class parking, just an opportunity to share our passion with fellow "Brits".
We have firmed up the plan. We have reserved a large grassy area at Camp Dearborn in Milford on September 9th.
Because we reserved a large area, the park entrance fee is only $3 for event attendees. They will move over porta-potties and we have reserved a large drum grill for anyone to use.
Our 2 Fall Color Tour experts are arranging a drive to start at 10 AM ( tentatively) to arrive at Camp Dearborn at noon. We may want to get a count of those planning to participate. More details soon.
You can participate in the drive or just come to Camp Dearborn starting at @10 AM. We will be there at 9:00AM.
If you have a club or group you wish to be together, someone come early - bring a sign - stake out an area.
I'm really excited about this. I hope we can get a big turnout. There are even some trees around.
I updated the Web site with pictures of the area and other information. Click on the link

Did a little research and it looks like the cars and bikes have split. This is off the metrotriumphriders.com website.
The 2012 Battle of the Brits will go on as scheduled!
You may have heard rumors that the event has been canceled. Not so! It is true that, due to unforeseen issues, the Detroit Triumph Sportscar Club has decided not to participate this year. And so, sadly, there will be no car show in 2012. However, the Metro Triumph Riders are committed to ensuring that our motorcycle show will be as good as ever!
Over the past 30 years, the Battle of the Brits has become known as one of the nation’s premier gearhead events. Unique for its combination of classic British motorcycles and automobiles, the BOB draws more than 200 vintage bikes and 400 cars. The truly remarkable quality and variety of these machines have helped make the BOB a “must attend” event for those who appreciate outstanding British machinery.
The 2012 Battle of the Brits will be held on Sunday, September 9. The show is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with participant registration beginning at 8 a.m. The motorcycle awards presentation begins at 3:30 p.m. Mail-in registrations are accepted up to September 6th. Click here to download the 2012 Battle of the Brits flyer and entry form.
Registration fee is $10 per bike, or $40 per vendor space (additional spaces are $30 each). Spectator admission fee is $5, with no charge for children under 5 or for show participants/vendors.
Orchard Lake St. Mary's is located at 3535 Indian Trail, Orchard Lake, Michigan 48324. There is no rainout date; the Battle of the Brits takes place rain or shine!
If you need hotel accommodations a special rate has been negotiated with the Hampton Inn of Commerce Township. Call before September 1st and ask for the special Battle of the Brits/Orchard Lake St. Mary’s room rate. The Hampton Inn is located at 169 Loop Rd., Commerce Township 48390. Tel. 248-624-8100.
See the 2011 BOB winners...

More details from the detroittriumph.org website. Here's the car side of things.
Battle of the Brits 2012 Car Show Cancelation Details
As you may have heard, early in June we were informed that Orchard Lake St. Mary's would not be hosting the Battle of the Brits this year. Eventually they did reconsider, but several weeks elapsed before this decision was made. They agreed to honor our contract, but to participate with only limited involvement. The details as to exactly what that meant took until last week. We now understand additional cost would be incurred, in addition to a lack of coordination on their part.
In the end, the Board felt the risks of hosting a 1st class show were too great within the shortened time frame and with a reluctant host.
So it is my sad news to inform you that the 2012 Battle of the Brits is canceled. We will have to wait till next year for the 30th Battle of the Brits. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you. All pre-regististration monies will be returned and we will continue to keep you posted on any updates. A mailing will follow for those not connected via email. At the same time we ask you to save September 9th for a possible casual gathering of the faithful. Plans are being made now. No awards, classes or registration just a day, talking and meeting like minds on our shared passion. We will be meeting with the Metro Triumph Riders to discuss new locations for next year. They however will continue this year at Orchard Lake and we wish them much success. Again, my apologies for any inconvenience. This was my last year hosting the Battle as Chairman and I was hoping to make it the best show ever. Cheers, Bob Owsinski DTSC Battle of the Brits Chairman

For those who haven't been to Camp Dearborn, make extra extra sure you obey the (slow) speed limit. Even as you approach the ticket booth (entrance). Officers are commonly parked on the other side and will pop you after you gain admission.
Great facility. Just do not, repeat -not- speed.
