Very sad indeed... Rest in Peace old friend...
It is with a very sad heart that I have to report that Long time member Jim Poulos has passed away today. I have no other details at this moment but will update as arrangment details become available. Jim had recently had open heart surgery to repair damaged valves and arteries this past Monday. Please keep Jim's family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I have never known anyone who loved motorcycling like Jim did. Most of us would have given up riding after one of his horrific crashes where he almost lost his leg. But he never gave up, no matter how the last ride ended. He recently bought another R1200RT and had it all set up (with lowered suspension) to ride to CO for STAR. Unfortunately his health would not permit him to be at altitude. So his next project was to repaint his entire bike, which didn't need painting, he just wanted it a different color...which he never got to complete.
He was a big supporter of HSTA/MSTA, organized rides on his own, and no one ever had to suggest he do so. He usually took it upon himself to organize the ride from DFW to Kerrville for the Texas Hill Country rally. He was truly one of a kind, and will be missed.
