Yes its right downtown on a very busy street. Dont let the pictures of it fool you that give the "open secluded" look, its surrounded closely by the city. Its on Broadway that runs straight to the Rupp Arena about 5 or 6 block away, eateries everywhere there. I have never stayed at the Campbell House but its where the "Bluegrass Tours" begin, you park there and the tour bus picks you up. Highly recommend the horse farm and race track tours, very informative and come in an assortment of time lengths.

And it is supposed to be haunted.

There are some who claim that Lexington is the most haunted city in Kentucky and after reading some of the ghost stories told about the town, you might agree. The first haunted spot is the Campbell House Inn, a haunted hotel in the city. According to the stories told, a dark spot on the stairs marks the spot where a woman was brutally murdered and despite the owners best efforts, the stain won't go away. There's also a haunted room on the third story where another woman was killed.
