Thanks to Kevin and Mike Lommis for joining in today. Although aa bit of a short ride and lots of cars it was fun. Mike rode over 200 miles to get here just to meet us and he is a brand new member on a brand new bike...good stuff Mike:D

It was a great ride. Really enjoyed meeting ya'll also. When I got back home, I had put 535 miles on the new V Strom. Now I can go get my 600 mile check up as I will be headed to Salida Colorado with friends on the 21st.
Again, it was nice meeting ya'll and can't wait for the October run. Kevin, ride both the 1000 and 650 and remember, the 650 will handle you and a passenger very well with lots of power and room. My trip averaged 48.5 miles per gallon and it is still new, not bad for a bike carrying me (290 lbs) and around 50 lbs of luggage !!! The V Strom did not even balk at that much weight.
