    American Honda Participates Again

American Honda will once have a presence at STAR. I won’t give away all the details but they will be bringing a new exciting machine and will be soliciting input from the MSTA membership. Jon Seidel of American Honda and fellow MSTA member will be available to show off and answer questions. If you’re not comfortable with a one on one basis we will be providing you a critique sheet in your packets so that you can give comments. Simply look for the box located near the checkout and drop it in.
In addition, Jon will be conducting an informal Q&A/Focus group and would like your participation to help Honda get a sense of what is wanted in sport touring and touring motorcycles. This is planned for Tuesday June 26 at 7PM in the Beaver Creek Room. Be sure to check your agenda provided in the registration packet for any time changes.

Probably the NC700X or the Cross Tourer 1200 since both of those have already been shown in Europe. The NC700X is actually Euro dealerships now and has been for some time. I know two blokes who bought them to use as commuter bikes - one in the UK and the other in Sweden.

Honda wants feedback? Wow, and great!

It surprised me when test riding the VFR1200 at STAR 2010 that AH requested no feedback afterward, or worse, apparently didn't use "focus groups" before building the new VFR. After riding it I new the bike was going to bomb. It was a bike without a market segment. Too heavy for a sport bike, too painful, w/ too little bottom-end torque to be a sport-tourer. Who builds a bike and offers hard saddlebags that are a $1200 option -that won't allow a helmet to be put into?

I'm thrilled that they'll be in attendance once again and I'm happy to give them all the advice they can stand.

BTW I'm sure hoping they're bring that new 700 as that bike looks great. I'd love to try it out.

Gary apparently you didn't attend the seminar at STAR in Toas about the VFR1200... yes, it was to late for them to listen but the did an intro and such... and did have us fill out a questionare.

Since the NC700X is scheduled in dealerships next month and AHM has so far said they have no plans to bring the Crosstourer here, I would bet that it is the NC700X.
