    Saddlesore Riders

    Fellow Saddlesore Riders,

To get it off my desk, I sent in my paperwork the Monday following our Saddlesore ride. 2 weeks later, I received email confirmation from Michael Kneebone. He confirmed the ride having been approved, issued my IBA #, and provided the password for access. This past Friday, I received the actual package with certificates, letters, stickers, and so on.

Contrary to how my expectations had been set--some said plan to wait 'months' to hear anything--the process was actually complete for me in about 5 weeks.

So, if you've been sitting on your submission, don't. Go ahead and get it in.

    Cheers!
    JT...

At one point a few years ago, one of the IBA's primary persons for verifying rides had to take a sabbatical or something like that. That coincided with the riding season rolling around and a massive influx of ride documentation being submitted. It took a while to work through that, and 5 weeks would have been a tremendous turn-around for quite some time. Instead of weeks, it was taking months.

No one was happy about certs taking months, so things were caught up as possible, and now I think Mike has more folks doing the verifications.
