monsoon season here so far only a short ride around the yard. hope the train stops soon

Still plenty of rain but I did get in 30 miles to fill her up, taking one of my favorite local twisties. It felt real good in the paved curves despite the knobbies, which I will have to get used to. It feels so small and light! I have not been able to get into DMV to apply for license yet so not really eager to stray to far from friendly territory and the yard is too soggy to start cutting up at home. I'ts still not even broken in yet anyway!

    Loving the KLX!

It is still raining every day but I have managed to get in some short rides. Hit a gravel shortcut between two of my local roads that I never used before because it has a rickety bridge I was skeered to cross. It tilts to the right and looks like it will collapse into the creek any day. No fears on my KLX.

Next I explored Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge. Miles of dirt and gravel roads and an ATV trail which was pretty muddy. I tried to go down several times but the KLX didn't want to. I checked out the worlds largest Bald Cypress tree. Was having so much fun I didn't notice the storm clouds and got caught in a TS. I had left my gear at home since I don't have a rack yet. Ordered a TCI Borrego rack and also a Ram mount for my GPS.

I knew you'd like that little 250. For me dual sporting is far more entertaining than street riding. The same routes will be different each time you ride them since weather plays such a big role on surface conditions.
