Considering the hassle and expense of shipping your own tire and the convenience of having the work done at the hotel premises why not just spend a little more and buy from member owned No Mar?
So will No-Mar mount tires that they don't sell? Thinking I may run out of rubber and was considering having one shipped to the hotel.
Thanks..........

Ditto to what Bob said.
If you call No-Mar a couple of weeks before STAR they will have your tires waiting for you. -JEP-

It's called "drop shipping" Bob, and I'm just considering my options as tire pricing varies all over the map. As a former small business owner, I have no problem supporting small businesses everywhere, not just member-owned. And if I want to ship my own tire, I'd probably just stick it on Russ Weik's trailer as he trailer's to Avon. So I'll probably contact No-Mar and check out their tire pricing, or get off my ass and ride another 2500 miles in the next few weeks and ride up on new rubber! But considering the current temps and my RiderCoach schedule, probably not the latter......

That last option is usually the best and that's what I am trying to do myself. I have a new Shinko waiting to go on but the current one still has a lot of traed, even at 5000 miles. BTW, I just order the 3rd hand and the Yellow Thing from No Mar for hopefully easier tire mounting. The Shinko Verge lasts well but is so stiff it is hard to mount.

A side question on "drop shipping" I assume that means you order an item and have it shipped somewhere other than your home. Is that commonly available? Seems like a lot of vendors I deal with only ship to your CC billing address or PayPal address.

A long-distance riding friend of mine had three different items shipped to my house this week to be picked up going to or coming from a BMW rally in Georgia (he lives in Canada). He was looking for someone close to his route and I was happy to volunteer to accept his packages. The three packages were shipped from different places and all arrived with no drama.
I agree that some folks want to ship to "confirmed" addresses, but if you have some history with a vendor, I'll bet they'll accommodate your needs.

I added the Yellow Thing to my order when I bought my Mount/Demount bar. I've only dismounted and mounted one set of tires for a friend and it was a cinch. It's almost as easy as when Susan does it in the video! :-)
Well guys I guess I bit my tongue long enough.
I really hate to hear a discussion on "drop shipping" or shopping Internet prices to get the best buy or all the money one can save by cutting out one of our MSTA vendors AND a MSTA vendor member.
No-Mar is at every STAR rally to make it convenient for us to get new tires.
They pay for a full page add in every StaReview.
We as MSTA members can only wish that we had a dozen more companies just like No-Mar supporting our club.
AND this thread is discussing on cutting them out on their tire prices?
Come on guys we're trying to bring on more good vendors like No-Mar.
My job is to bring in new sponsors and frankly guys this kind of thinking just makes my job a lot harder. -JEP-
