No none of the routes available for download include Dual Sport. There will be some available at the rally however.

I am not a dual sport guy and have not been provided any with any knowledge of the area so I won't attempt to put any together without knowing the area.

If someone has dual routes for the area we can get them in the download area if they will provide them.

Be aware that the Fort Collins area is in the middle of a huge fire right now. I had planned months ago to do CO 14 (Poudre Canyon Hwy) west from Fort Collins, but now I doubt it will be accessible. Some of the other canyons south of there may also be impacted. If that fire isn't brought under control, it could even threaten the Rocky Mountain National Park, and that would be a huge loss.

Thanks for the heads up, I had heard about the fire near Fort Collins the other nigth and was going to look into it more. There is also a large fire burning in New Mexico, a coworker who was vacationiong in CO after Memorial Day told me there was visible haze in the air near the Pikes Peak area and locals said it was from the smoke of the fire in NM.

As far as the Fort Collins fire threatening RMNP, I suppose that is possible but the fire seems to be pretty far from there. In 2010 after STAR we rode to Avon and did RMNP (The Trail Ridge Road across) and there was a fire burning in Cow Creek very near Estes Park and the park was not threatened in any way that caused closures. But there was lots of road construction making traffic worse and we could see smoke from that fire most of the day.

I'm hoping RMNP is in better shape this time, because I'd like to ride it again (maybe enjoy the road some this time) and see more of the sights (overlooks were overcrowded).

The co-worker who had been visiting told me it is very dry out there, and fire warnings were at a high stage in most places.

Where do I go to download the "paper Routes" for STAR. I thought I had them but now that I need them I can't find them.

That user (Scott Johnson) is clearly one with MSTA member access. It says Junior Member underneath. People have been told to request member status and either never did it, didn't have it approved or their member status was turned off when their membership expired.

It isn't difficult, but I think some are having trouble following the directions or are unhappy with the "it may take up to 2 weeks to grant member access".

I hope that doesn't offend anybody, but I've seen numerous posts on this and had a local member who had some issues because they didn't have member status and had recently renewed (they were not sure if they had member status before but think they did).

I agree with you Steve.

I have posted this at least 2 or 3 times in the past week and in the same link as the question comes up over and over in.

If you have Junior Member under your name and NOT MSTA Member you need to do as Jon keeps mentioning.

You need to request MSTA Member Access here:
http://www.sporttouring.us/forms.php?do=form&fid=2

Jon will check against the member registry he gets from Choon once he gets your request and then will upgrade you. Once upgraded you will then have access to the members only area and will be able to download the GPS files.
