This is GREAT! I've been waiting for some organized "happenings" in the area.
Damn, I wish I could attend this one... unfortunately I have a previous commitment.

Joe "Catfish" Thomas & I are planning to meet for lunch at Chestnut's Cafe in downtown Andrews, NC at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, April 20th (rains coming into the area on Saturday). We have no particular agenda other than to get together for some socialization. If we feel so inclined, we may ride for a bit afterwards, but mostly the ride will be on our own routes from home to Andrews and then back home. I'll probably go over through Deal's Gap and return via the Cherohala Skyway. That's a good day. Lunch with friends makes it a great day.
Come join us.

Followed Gary & Clyde to Andrews NC, today. We met at 7:00AM @ Denver NC, had a great ride to Andrews. Gary knows "lots" of roads! Enjoyed meeting everyone for lunch today, the food & fellowship was excellent!
Many riders had different destinations after lunch. I planned on riding Rt. 64 on the way back home. Gary said I should take Rt. 64 to Rt. 107 to Rt. 130 to Rt. 11 in SC. Gary, thanks for the route advice. Have to say I saw more today than on any other previous day ride. Got over 460 miles in today and enjoyed every mile!
Please forgive me for all the photos, but traveled to many places I have not visited until today in NC & SC. Like my name says, Exploring Carolina.
On Rt. 64:
On Rt. 130:
Not far from Rt. 11 in SC, Poinsett Bridge:
Had to stop & watch the Hang Gliders launching off of a ridge close to Table Rock SC landing next to Rt. 11!

It was an extra fine day. Thanks for posting the pictures! I came home via Green Cove and got to see Bald River Falls roaring like it seldom does.
