I talked with John Kilmartin, Alleghany Inn manager, earlier this week and he said there are ~15 rooms still available for TRISTAR. He also said that many MSTA members have room reservations...

We had ~ 20 riders gather for 2013 Fools Run. Many were MSTA members and several were Twin Valley Riders members and several were friends.

Yesterday I ventured out between storms and pre-rode Loop 2. I am glad I did because I found a bridge out on the route, which required a re-routing.

Weather 40-45 degrees, cloudy until 5:30 pm,...

2 XR650Ls and 1 DR650. None wore proper knobbies.

Yes straight stretches intermixed with hard pack sand and asphalt.

No probably not. But if I do, the bike will be wearing knobbies....

We are set to ride 2 routes; one Friday starting at 10 am; then more challenging ride Saturday. Sunday's ride will be scouting for new stuff to ride and then leave in afternoon.
