Glad I could be of help in handling this!
I'm looking forward to this. I, too, have been using MapSource for a long time. I have played around with BaseCamp, but I'm not nearly up to speed.
Sounds like fun, but I'm standing in a parking lot Saturday. Too bad.

Mike,
I'm a couple of hours south of Erwin in Knoxville, and I may be available for some riding too (depending on work). I've got an MSF class on the 6th-7th, but nothing specfic on the 8th-10th.
And if Cocke County doesn't blow your skirt up, how about Tellico Plains?
Polk County (south of T.P.) and Monroe County (contains T.P.) both have lots of delightful gravel/dirt roads. For that sort of riding, that's my favorite direction to go.
Cindy & I have been spending a wedding anniversary period at Cumberland Moutain State Park (rented a cabin), and I was there via 4-wheeler. <shiver>
I'm ready to do some riding on Saturday. Want...
This year marks my 18th year as a Rider-Coach. Anyone's state in a hurry to implement the new version of the BRC?
Very nice bike!
8-10 years ago Randy Logan & I had gone down to Florida for bike week, and we were staying in Jacksonville. That meant a pretty good little ride down to Daytona, and Randy decided we should pick a...
Maybe I cheated, but I've been using a picture from one of the photo hawkers down at Deal's Gap for my card photo for the last couple of years.
The next time I order cards, I'll probably replace...
I'm in Knoxville, TN and have a BMW F650GS and several more street oriented bikes (though no mile eaters like your FJR). Drop me a line some time and maybe we can meet somewhere betwixt and between.
It looked to me like there would be room for some sort of mount to slip into place. There may not be...I can't say for sure. The support certainly looks stout enough to handle the weight.
A fellow showed up last night at the Time Warp Tea Room (our local two-wheeled Tuesday spot) with an NC700X. He's already sprung for the taller Honda windshield and pronounced it good. It's supported...
During a church choir tour through Scotland back in the early 90s, I found it interesting that even small towns would have some sort of museum. They had various areas of focus, but many had sections...
Your comment about spreading your stuff around made me think of this...
I went to Europe back in the mid 70s (before I started riding) with a college choir. We were paired up with someone in most of...
The majority of responses seem to lean towards an ARC on Saturday before STAR. I'll see if the program administrator can schedule that and see what the charge would be. I'll give you guys a response...
I wore my yellow Darien into a theatre once. Several of the patrons of the concert asked me the same thing (Is there a fire?).
One of my fellow local RiderCoaches is the Captain of the Knoxville City Police Dept and is in charge of the motor officers corp. When it was time to get new bikes a few years ago, he told the guys...
I'm sure them being everywhere is Honda's hope. It may not be an explosive powerhouse, but it appeals to me. My definition of performance includes good fuel economy, and the NC700X seems to have that...
Jim,
I think that was exactly the right question to ask. If anyone had observed me just now, they'd have seen me sitting here laughing out loud for an inexplicably long period of time.
That would be "No." The NC700X is the one with adventure "styling" and a neutral and upright seating position to the best of my knowledge. I had my leg over one the other day at a dealership here in...
