Looking forward to the trip down to Lexington next week. The mrs. and I are getting set for retirement (finally!) and were interested in the Ironhorse one bike flip-top trailer. It seems to be a well-made trailer, but there's nothing like the opinion of an owner to help settle in one's mind the wisdom of a choice. Up here in New England, we don't have more than a few MSTA members, so I'm reaching out to the group. If you have owned an Ironhorse trailer (any size), could you share your experience of ownership? There are no dealers up here either, so our one shot at getting "up close and personal" with one is to take a day off from STAR and head down to the factory in TN. Do you know any of our members that have (or had) an Ironhorse trailer?

We have also brought a draft beer truck in! It will be set up in the side lot-near outdoor vendors. Will open each day-various times. Also, on our front porch we will have plenty of outdoor seating and a satellite bar setup all week at various times.


On Monday 6/24, We will be doing a Pig Roast (no kidding) in our side or back (wherever there's room) parking lot from 4p-8p. $8.00 pulled pork sandwiches with slaw and toppings-water or soda included.


Because we know your folks will be needing ice for coolers etc..we have rented an ice machine that will be in our back parking lot (near building)-ice is FREE! We will also be selling soda, water, PowerAde back there...7a-9a and 5p-7p each day. This will eliminate the ice machine problems that always seem to happen when you have a full house.


I'm sure there will be more to come, and I will be printing this in a more professional fashion for you to distribute to your guests, but I thought I would get the info over to you ASAP. Feel free to post it on your website etc...

The I-71/I-471 bridge across the Ohio River will be CLOSED starting next FRIDAY for 7-10 days. Expect MAJOR delays if you are planning to use I-71 to reach the I-75 bridge across the river, as all traffic will be sent toward that bridge. Well I had the employer throw a wrench into my plans to attend STAR a couple of weeks ago, I am having to stay in town and cover for some ex employees till their replacements are hired and trained. That said I am able to get out on weekends some to do some day rides.

So if anyone is interested in a ride on the 22nd or 23rd I will be riding somewhere, so maybe we can meet up.

To all of you going to STAR I am envious, have a great time, and shout out a big ol' HOWDY when Dennis calls to tell me I won the raffle bike!
