Starting over isn't so bad. Reduces all the clutter. I'm just glad Jon and others know what to do because if the crash happened to me I would probably take a sledge hammer to the computer. I'm eagerly looking forward to the riding season again. I'm still riding some locally but saving the cash for warmer longer rides. With no good curvy roads around here the only fun thing is acceleration. I've managed to fry off my rear tire in 1800 miles. Sitting here waiting on the new set to arrive. The Bandit sure does eat tires if you twist the throttle. Really been enjoying this bike. It's my third Bandit. About to cross the one year mark with this one....a milestone for me. If I had the cash I would add a 600cc sportbike for the track, a super moto bike and then maybe something more touring oriented. All these bikes have been trying but they just can't pry me away from the ole Bandito this time.
Got a bunch of my riding gear on ebay right now. Doing some reorganizing of my gear. Got me some Alpinestar S-MX 5 boots, the std version. They feel good right out of the box. They make a std, vented and waterproof version. My focus used to be the waterproofing, but I'm now sick and tired of how toasty those boots are so I got these Alpinestar's. I sprayed water on them with the hose and didn't get any water through them even though these are not supposed to be waterproof. Still liking my Darien Light jacket. I'm getting rid of my Roadcrafter as the Darien works well enough in cooler temps. The R.C. is hot compared to it. Got spoiled with the Darien I guess.
