My name is Jim and I live in Louisville Ky. I ride an 07 FJR. I have been riding pretty much all of my life off and on but only started riding sport touring type bikes about 4 years ago. yeah...I am hooked. This forum was recommended by a friend of mine from high school who I have recently reconnected with via FB. High school was about 30 years ago.....you do the math.

I am self employed. I own a very small company involved in the exciting world of outsourcing payroll services, HR, workers compensation, and other employee benefits. Because I am apparently some sort of masochist I also hold a license to sell real estate. (it is a good way to starve to death should you ever want to do yourself in slowly and painfully).

Lets see.... other things i enjoy...scuba diving, hiking, boating, hunting, fishing, and (don't laugh) geocaching.

Thinking about going to Sparta.

Hi Jim,
Welcome... you have come to the right place... the MSTA is a great source for Sport Touring rides, riders and events.

I too have an FJR that I really like.

I hope to see you at an upcoming event.

Welcome aboard, Jim.
I grew up just down the river from you in Madison. Also have a buddy that lives in Louisville that just joined the MSTA, be glad to do an intro.
Hope to see you at a MSTA event this year. -JEP-

Cool.....another KENTUCKY member! and not to far away either. welcome!

Jim, you should really give Tri-Star some serious consideration, it is an EXCELLENT event and my favorite of all the regional events. I will going down again this year for the 5th of 6th time, can't remember which. It is great ride down there through eastern Ky, followed by even better riding while down there, and a very very good time in Sparta as well.

Hope we can get together and do some riding this year, in fact, give some thought to going to Moyers on May 5th, look in the Ohio section for more details, but basically it is a winery on the Ohio side of the river, just east of Maysville. Not to far to come from the Ville, especially considering the roads between the two places.....22, 10, 165, 62......ahhhhh, heaven! Hope to see you there.

Welcome aboard Jim and nice colored bike!

I'm in Shepherdsville with an 11 FJR and love geocaching, but only real serious at it in the winter time when it's really cold.

It's been hard finding others around Louisville to ride with as everyone wants/seems to stay alone. I ride with members of the Louisville SportBikes (http://www.louisville-sportbikes.com/) or Kentucky-SportBikes (http://www.kentucky-sportbikes.com/) and am a member of both.

Also, if you haven't already, check out the FJRForum (http://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?act=idx). A wealth of information about the FJR there.

We'll need to hook up sometime! Again welcome aboard.
